paper for wedding stationery

Our paper stocks have been carefully selected, choosing only FSC certified papers. The range below features our most popular colours. If there is something you are after that you don’t see, please reach out as we will do our best to assist you.

Quite a few of our papers have some recycled content, are acid free and pH neutral.

Colours marked with an * are suitable for 300gsm or 600gsm letterpress (handmade cannot be duplexed to 600gsm).

Colours marked with a • are suitable for white ink printing.

Colours marked with ~ are premium colours and have a higher price point.

Please note: colours on your monitor may appear slightly different to the paper in real life.

Some of our paper stocks have a textured finish, or are available in cotton. If you have a request, please let us know.

about our paper

Uncoated 300gsm - This stock is great for all print methods (this is all papers above a part from transparent and handmade).

Uncoated 600gsm+ - This stock is super thick and luxurious. We recommend 600gsm+ papers for letterpress as it leaves a deeper impression and punches more impact. Those marked with a * above are perfect for letterpress. You can also use 600gsm+ papers for any other type of printing if you’re after a luxurious feeling invitation suite.

Cotton 300gsm / 600gsm - We have the following colours in cotton available: white, ivory, grey and blush. Cotton paper feels luxurious, and is great for letterpress as it creates a soft, pillowy impression. You can also use cotton paper for other printing methods.

Handmade - Each individual sheet is made by hand from 100% recycled cotton rag. It is acid free, chlorine free, bleach free and archival. As it is handmade, each sheet had slight differences. This makes for the most unique and stunning stationery. Digital, letterpress and foiling can be done with handmade paper.

Textured - We have a variety of textured stocks. If you’re looking for a way to make white or black card appear more luxurious this is a great way to do so.

Translucent - This is an opaque type of paper. It can be digitally printed on and also looks great with white ink. We can foil translucent paper - but there may be varied results with how the foil transfers. Therefore you have to understand the possible end result. It has a surface that tries to repel the foil, which can result in tiny spot-sized holes where the foil has not taken to the stock. If you decide to foil on translucent paper we do not recommend it in large areas e.g. big bold fonts as it’s unpredictable.

our different printing methods

Digital, letterpress, foil… what are they and what’s the difference? Let us decipher all the different printing methods and the affect they achieve.

digital

Digitally printed invitations are printed directly from a digital file on a computer. Digital printers transfer four colours of ink (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) to paper simultaneously, producing a full-colour print after only one pass through the printer. Digital is a popular choice as it has the quickest turn-around and is the most cost effective.

White ink printing uses the same method of digital printing. White ink printing looks gorgeous on dark card stocks and creates a chic look without the cost of foiling or letterpress.

letterpress

Letterpress is when card is pressed with an inked metal plate, which transfers ink and leaves a deep, tactile impression in the paper that you (and your wedding guests!) can see and feel.

Letterpress is a luxury printing finish and costs significantly more than digital or white ink printing.

Letterpress takes 10 business days for production + shipping time.

foil stamping

Foil stamping in the simplest form involves three things: foil material, heated plates, and pressure. The end result is a luxurious, slight indentation effect that adds a shine to the paper stock.

Note: we have foil in colours you can only dream of! Rose gold, gold, pink, blue, green, silver, white… you name it and we probably can do it!
